The occupation of Palestine is sustained by companies around the world that provide the tools and technology to demolish Palestinian homes, enable the functioning of settler communities in occupied territories and enable the occupation and genocide of the Palestinian people.
Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) is a Palestinian-led movement for freedom, justice and equality. BDS upholds the simple principle that Palestinians are entitled to the same rights as the rest of humanity. Inspired by the South African anti-apartheid movement, the BDS call urges action to pressure Israel to comply with international law. It enables every person of conscience to at minimum vote with their wallets and encourages collective non-violent action in support of Palestinian rights.
BDS is now a vibrant global movement made up of unions, academic associations, churches, and grassroots movements across the world. Since its launch in 2005, BDS has had a significant impact and is effectively challenging international support for Israeli apartheid and settler-colonialism.
